• Each submission must include the following information:
• You may also submit your proposals via email using the following additional guidelines:
• All participants who present papers are expected to be a discussant and/or chair on another panel and will be assigned one of these additional roles for each paper presented. Indicate theoretical or empirical preference in addition to citing from the categories above (include all that apply). Discussant/chair responsibilities will be determined in the preparation of the program and made available on the website in mid-February. • Final papers should be submitted in .pdf format. Overhead projectors will be available for all sessions, and this is the format we strongly encourage presenters to use. LCD projectors are very expensive and beyond the resources of the Society. If your presentation requires an LCD projector, you will need to bring your own or otherwise make private arrangements. We encourage you to submit your registration form as soon as possible together with the registration fee ($150 for professors and $100 for students) in the form of a check in U.S. dollars made out to the Public Choice Society. CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Registration fees paid after January 15, 2004, will be $180 for professors and $120 for students. Registration fees are nonrefundable. Attendees from outside the U.S. who have difficulty in providing a check in U.S. currency should make special arrangements with Jo Ann Burgess (Email: pubchsoc@gmu.edu; Tel: 1-703- 993-2337; Fax: 1-703-993-2334). Participants are strongly urged to use the conference hotel—the Society is committed to the hotel for a number of rooms. It is important to make your reservations early and identify yourself as a participant in the Public Choice Society/Economic Science Association Meetings in order to take advantage of the established group rate as well as defraying the cost of meeting rooms. The contract rate for a single/double is $155 plus tax and hotel fee. We urge all attendees to schedule arrival and departure times so that all sessions will be well-attended. The Wyndham Baltimore is located in the inner harbor within walking distance of several historic landmarks and many fine restaurants (including Schula's, owned by former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, Don Schula, within the hotel itself). Nearby Camden Yards is home to the Baltimore Orioles. Other sites of interest include the National Aquarium, the Maritime Museum, the Civil War Museum, and Fort McHenry, birthplace of the American National Anthem. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at 1-410-385-6700 or toll-free at 1-800-WYNDHAM (1-800-996-3426); no "1" necessary outside the U.S. Cutoff date for special price conference reservations is February 10, 2004. After that, rooms will be on a space-available basis and at prevailing daily rates. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
