2003 Call for Papers for the Annual
Meeting of the Public Choice Society and Economic Science Association
Nashville, Tennessee - March 21-23, 2003

The 2003 meetings of the Public Choice Society and Economic Science
Association will be held at the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel, Friday
morning, March 21, 2003 thru Sunday noon, March 23, 2003.
Paper proposals, a brief abstract of 300 words or less, should be
submitted along with the registration fee ($100 for professors and $65
for students) before DECEMBER 1, 2002 to Carol M. Robert, James
M. Buchanan Center for Political Economy, MSN 1D3, Carow Hall, George
Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia 22030-4444. Papers proposals on
Experimental Economics and related subjects should be sent to Colin
Camerer, Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences, 228-77, California
Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA 91125.
The registration fee after JANUARY 15, 2002 will be $125 for
professors and $85 for students. The registration fee is non-refundable
if you fail to attend and CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Attendees
outside the U.S. who have difficulty in securing a check in U.S. currency
should make special arrangements with Carol Robert.
You may submit your proposal via email under the following rules:
Use a Word/Word Perfect format (too many incompatible mail systems!!)
Put "Public Choice Meetings" in the subject field Email to: crobert@gmu.edu
for (PCS), and camerer@hss.caltech.edu for (ESA)
Please provide EACH AUTHOR'S NAME ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE,
affiliation, address, telephone number and e-mail address (if available).
Designate one of the twelve areas where the paper best"fits" (limit
of two areas per paper). Everyone WHO GIVES A PAPER IS EXPECTED TO
BE A DISCUSSANT AND/OR A CHAIR on another panel and will be assigned
one of these additional roles for each paper he/she presents. Indicate
your preference of papers to discuss -- theoretical or empirical --
and in which of the areas below you will feel comfortable being a discussant
(specify all that apply). Please have your final paper in web-ready
form.

We hope you will stay at the conference hotel to help defray the cost
of the meeting rooms and because it is more convenient. Call the Hotel

and be sure to tell them you are with the Public Choice Society Conference.
The contract rate for the conference is $132 plus tax and hotel fee
for a single/double room. ALL REQUESTS SHOULD BE MADE NO LATER THAN
FEBRUARY 18, 2003. We cannot guarantee rooms at the conference hotel
unless you book early. We urge all attendees to schedule arrival and
departure times so as to be able to attend all the sessions.
